Pi Tau Sigma
 

The Tau Alpha chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, the national honorary fraternity for mechanical engineers, holds semiannual initiations near the end of Fall and Spring semesters. Pi Tau Sigma, founded in 1915, recognizes junior and senior students in a mechanical engineering curriculum on the basis of sound engineering ability, scholarship, and personality.

These commemorate initiations from past years:

Fall 2004 Initiation (December 3, 2004):  These students were part of the initiation ceremony to welcome new members, signified with an "*": Jonathan Haslanger, Alex Forman, Owen Loh, Ben Jackson*, Eiline Yoon*, Angelo Santiago*, Eric Nothnagel, Emily Kumpel*, Matthew Jeffrey*, Nicholas Petrone, David Helmer*, Reuben Brewer*, David Garber, John Cutright.

Fall 2003 Initiation (December 9, 2003):  New initiates were seniors Mike Sharma, Dat Truong, David Sparks, Michelle Clarke, and David Albright; and juniors David Garber, Steve Garber, and Eric Nothnagel.


Spring 2003 Initiation (May 5, 2003): New initiates were seniors John Berg, Jason Nolin and Mark Staley; and juniors Hui Son, Golda Katzoff, Landon Unninayar, Bryan Brilhart, and Aaron Stackhouse.


Spring 2002 Initiation (May 6, 2002): New initiates were Jennifer Abras, Dan Brzozowski, Karina Decker, and Tabish Mustufa.


Fall 2001 Initiation (December 10, 2001): President Peter Loeffler and Vice-President Brian Weibeler presided at the ceremony. New initiates pictured below include seniors Shannon Browne, Chris Milburn, and David Sampson, and juniors Ryan Austin and Mike Taylor. Student members are Daniel Olsen, Rory Thomas, and Mike Cordeiro.


Spring 2001 Initiation (May 8, 2001): New initiates are pictured below with chapter President Cara Libby, Vice-President Peter Loeffler, and other members. New initiates include seniors Robert Matarese, Angus Shee, Tyler Tom, and Abigail Winthrop and juniors Michael Cordeiro, Daniel Olson, Rory Thomas, and Brian Weibeler.
